Equipment
At Jagged Globe, we understand how important it is for you to have the right equipment for the job. On booking an expedition, trek or course, you will receive an Trip Dossier or course Joining Instructions. These contain up-to-date and bespoke equipment lists, specific to your trip.
To help you make the right choice of gear, we recommend models and brands that we have used ourselves and know work. Whilst we appreciate the burden of having to purchase expensive specialist equipment, it is necessary and can mean the difference between reaching a summit and not. To help defray these costs, we offer an equipment hire service, and we also have good links with suppliers who give our team members a discount. In addition, on many of our courses, the cost of specialist equipment (for example, ice axe, crampons, harness and helmet) is included in the course price.
Jagged Globe Kit Bag
Participants in our expeditions and treks will receive a free 100 litre ultra-durable kit bag made from tough tarpaulin fabric with 1000D Nylon base. It has nylon webbing reinforced carrying straps, haul handles, a wide U-shaped zipped lid for easy access and an internal zipped mesh pocket. The kit bag is one of the toughest available, so if you have travelled with us before, you probably don't need a new one. If you would prefer it, we can supply a Jagged Globe fleece 'shirt' and fleece hat instead (see photo right).
