This extension is designed for those who have completed any of the 4,000ers courses (Saas 4000ers, Oberland 4000ers or Zermatt 4000ers) the previous week. On the Saturday that the 4,000ers course ends, we travel to Chamonix, staying in Chamonix overnight.
Alternatively, you may wish to consider our 8-day Mont Blanc Summit course.
The North East Ridge from the Col du Midi
We aim to climb the North East Ridge from the Col du Midi, depending on conditions. Also known as the "Three Monts" route, this is a fine ascent via the snow slopes of Mont Blanc du Tacul and Mont Maudit. The mountains encountered en route add to the sense of achievement whilst providing a measure by which to gauge progress. We set aside two days to make an attempt from the Cosmiques Hut. Those joining the Alpine Introduction Mont Blanc Extension will climb The Goûter Route.
